Points are awarded for getting any part of an opponent’s body to touch the sand, other than their feet or hands.
Taking down or throwing opponents from their feet to their back will award the offensive wrestler with three points and an automatic victory.
If the offensive wrestler touches one knee, they must finish their attack or lose a point.
If the offensive wrestler touches both knees while attacking, they forfeit a point automatically.
If a defensive wrestler touches any body part other than feet or hands, they lose a point.
If a wrestler touches any part of their body outside of the ring, the other wrestler is given a point.
If the match ends with a tie score, the wrestler with more active points wins the bout. *Note: this rarely happens.
