3C2A STATE DUAL MEET SILVER BRACKET CHAMPIONS!

Comets fans, alumni, and supporters,

This past weekend, the Lady Comets competed at the 3C2A State Dual Meet Championships. The team wrestled well, going 3-0 and winning the Silver Bracket. This was a great showing for our team and the first team championship we’ve ever won for Palomar Women’s Wrestling

To keep things in perspective, we opted out of this tournament last year because we couldn’t field a full enough roster to have a competitive dual meet lineup.

Dual Results:

Quarterfinals: Palomar defeats #6 Bakersfield College, 41-12

Semifinals: Palomar defeats #4 Sierra College, 31-22

Finals: Palomar defeats Lemoore College, 34-20

I thought the team wrestled well, stayed focused on the technical goals we set for them, and supported each other throughout the tournament. This was a fun and motivating experience for our team! Thanks to Fresno City College for putting on a great event.
