Preciosa Moreno with a win over Cerritos College
Comets fans, alumni, and supporters,
We finished up our dual meet season with two exciting matches against Cerritos College last week and Santa Ana College this past Wednesday. Our team looked great and really impressed me with the way they stayed disciplined and fought through each position.
Cerritos 27, Palomar 24
Despite giving up three forfeits, the Comets looked excellent and had a put on a show against #1 ranked Cerritos College. This was an outstanding effort against a tough team who beat us 60-0 last year. We took out #1, #3, #5, and #7 ranked wrestlers.

We had a solid finish to our dual meet season with a victory over the always tough and talented Santa Ana College. They gave us a few forfeits, but we were still able to get the best of the contested matches 4-2. Our girls wrestled for the team, as some chose to bump up several weight classes to get a match.

Dual Meet Season Recap
I have to be proud of the way our team wrestled for each other in this year’s dual meets. This was our best record in the history of our program (5-2), and we won our first State Dual Meet Championship in the Silver Division. Our only losses were to the #1 and #2 ranked teams. Great job, Comets!! We’ll be back in action with a few more tournaments before getting ready for the 3C2A Championships.
